We're starting to receive responses from our Offical Information Requests, but guess what, they are being rejected with the following, that has been for myself and others.
My Question 18th July 2023 of Kainga Ora
I’d like to ask for an official information request:
How many Section 53B and 55a clause has been issued in the past 12 months and proceeding 3 years
What is the average lead time from first complaint until removal of the tenant on the above two section clauses
How many of the issued clauses have been disputed or gone to court and or not been evicted in the 14 days
Kainga Ora Response (20 business days later):
Regarding your request below, Kāinga Ora is extending the timeframe for making a decision on your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request, to 28 August 2023.
Consultations are required to make a decision on your request.
This extension is made in accordance with section 15A(1)(b) of the OIA: consultations necessary to make a decision on the request are such that a proper response to the request cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit.
I asked a pretty simple couple of questions, however I believe the fallout of answers, or the fallout from answering any questions, is detrimental to people keeping their jobs, including Minister of Housing, Megan Woods.
